KOL & KOC Management

KOL & KOC Campaign Management for Hong Kong Brands

Choose creators for audience fit and a useful campaign role, then give the collaboration a clear brief.

When creator collaboration makes sense

For a product launch, event, store visit or brand campaign that needs a creator's relevant audience and perspective. Start with the action you want people to take and the story a creator can credibly tell. A large follower count alone does not establish a suitable audience or likely sales.

What KOL and KOC management can cover

We agree the number and type of collaborators, content formats and coordination work in the proposal. Creator availability, fees and participation are confirmed during campaign planning.

Creator research and selection

Consider audience location, topic relevance, content style, engagement context, brand fit and previous commercial work. Build a shortlist around the campaign brief, rather than a celebrity-name list.

Brief and collaboration coordination

Translate product facts and campaign objectives into a creator brief. Coordinate outreach, participation, deliverables and the approval process within the agreed scope.

Content, permissions and publishing

Agree content formats, factual checks, revision limits, publication dates and disclosure requirements. Confirm reposting, paid amplification and usage duration before treating creator content as a reusable asset.

Delivery tracking and reporting

Record published content and available platform results over the agreed period. Connect links or enquiry routes to tracking where possible, and report what can actually be observed.

Match creator, platform and market

KOL, KOC and micro-creators

Campaigns often use these labels differently. Evaluate each collaborator's actual audience, subject knowledge and content role. KOC or micro-creator work can suit experience-led seeding; broader recognition still needs relevant audience fit.

Hong Kong audiences and visitor campaigns

A campaign for Hong Kong residents and one for Mainland visitors need different selection criteria, language and discovery contexts. Our published work includes Instagram, Facebook and Xiaohongshu collaborations; the proposal names the specific markets and platforms.

Creator content and owned-account activity

A creator collaboration does not automatically include ongoing management of your brand account. Coordinate the two where useful, while keeping deliverables, access, production and media budgets clear.

From campaign brief to review

  1. Define the audience and outcome

Confirm product or event facts, locations, dates, available experiences and the intended customer action. Set the budget and measurement plan before selecting creators.

  2. Shortlist and agree collaborations

Review creator fit, availability and proposed formats. Confirm deliverables, fees, publication windows, permissions and approval terms for participating creators.

  3. Brief, coordinate and publish

Provide approved facts and creative direction, coordinate visits or product access, and review content within the agreed process. Track publication and resolve factual questions with your team.

  4. Evaluate the campaign

Collect available delivery and platform data for the reporting period. Separate content exposure from tracked enquiries or purchases, and use the findings to inform future creator choices.

What each side needs to provide

Loketing's agreed role

Coordinate the contracted creator research, campaign brief, collaborations, approvals and reporting. Confirm creator terms and escalate changes to the agreed scope before proceeding.

Your team's role

Provide accurate product information, assets and permissions, access to the experience or venue, an approver and a contact for customer enquiries. Confirm budget, claims, usage rights and final business decisions promptly.

What affects creator campaign costs?

Creator mix, content formats, filming or visits, campaign duration, languages, revisions, exclusivity and content usage rights can all change the budget. Distinguish coordination fees, creator fees, production or product costs and paid amplification. There is no universal KOL price or follower-to-sales formula.

Report delivery and outcomes separately

Track published deliverables first, then available views, reach, saves, comments and clicks. Enquiry links, codes or booking records can help connect the campaign to customer actions when agreed in advance. Views and followers are not unique customers; enquiry comments are not completed bookings. Platform attribution and overlapping audiences limit claims about sales caused by the campaign.

Relevant creator campaigns

The published cases describe anonymous engagements and their recorded work. They show campaign approaches, rather than guaranteed outcomes for another brand.

Frequently asked questions

Should we choose KOLs or KOCs?

Choose by audience fit and campaign role, not the label alone. A broader-audience creator may suit awareness, while experience-led KOC or micro-creator content may suit discovery and practical product questions. Review the actual content and audience before deciding the mix.

Can we reuse creator content or run it as an ad?

Only within agreed permissions. Reposting, editing, paid amplification, exclusivity, territories and usage duration should be confirmed in the collaboration terms. A published creator post does not automatically grant every form of reuse.

Is ongoing brand-account management included?

It is a separate scope. Creator selection and collaboration can be coordinated with your owned accounts, but regular content, publishing, community response and paid media must be named in the proposal if required.

How do we judge campaign success?

Set the objective and reporting period before launch. Measure deliverables and platform engagement separately from tracked enquiries, bookings and purchases. Where attribution or platform exports are unavailable, state those limits rather than converting views into assumed sales.
